Who is the best Film actor India ever produced?

This is a conflicting question, which always troubled me a lot? Who is the best actor at present?

Indian film industry is not just Bollywood, so we have to consider all regional languages. First we have to make a list. In my opinion, the list is as follows:-

1. Amitab Bachan

2. Naseeruddin shah

3. Sharukh Khan

4. Amir Khan

4. Kamal Hassan

5. Mammootty

6. Mohanlal

7. Prakash Raj

Hey people don't quarrel with me, I know there are lot more talented actors should be listed, but I am including the actors at present.

As far as number of awards bagged, Kamal Hassan, Mammootty, Amitab , and Mohanlal stands no.1. But Sharukh Khan, Aamir also just behind them. As far as Talent is concerned Naseeruddin Shah can beat all of the above actors!!!

So we have to consider their abilities as stars, Amitab bachan is there for about 40 yrs, Kamalhassan completed 50 yrs, and Mohanlal completed 30 yr of Stardom!!! These three actors can do all the roles. They can do comedy, stunts, romance exceptionally well. So because of variety and time span of stardom(not a simple thing to survive as a star for a long time)I am short listing them into three:-

1. Amitab Bachan

2. Kamal Hassan

3. Mohanlal

These three actors are personification of various acting skills, but as far as dancing skill is concerned, Kamal and Lal outshines our Big B a little bit. Kamal hassan done all sorts of dance (classic and western) in his movie! Mohanlal also portrayed a role of classical dancer in one of his move in which he danced excellently (even keep that body language through out that movie). In the movie Vanaprashtham he played the role of a Kadhakali dancer(kadhakali may be called the king of all arts, it contains physical, mental, and acting skill of the player and so difficult to put kadhakali makeup on the face, some what 7 hrs!!!) which he done exceptionally well.

As far as variety is concerned our beloved Big B, is excellent, but when we consider dancing, we have to exclude him from the list.

so, now our list is

1. Kamal Hassan

2. Mohanlal

Kamal Hassan done all sorts of variety in his movies Indian, Nayakan, Dashavatharam all are the symbols of his Acting skill. He is gifted a lot from the god. He is there in the industry as a little child. He has contact with a all important actors of at that time like Sathyan, Shivaji Ganeshan, MGR, Nagesh even at the age of 8 years!!!!! He done all his important roles with the help of largely makeup! Makeup also plays a key role and gives additional strength to his characters!

In the case of Mohanlal, He has no family background of cinema who came to the industry at the age of 18 ( in other words, he conquered an industry which is totally not familiar to him as compared with Kamal). The path of Mohanlal was not as soft as Kamal. He has to un important, villain, and supporting roles at the early stage of his career. I still remember in a movie named Football, he has done a small role of 1 min duration! Then in 1985, firstly directors trusted him and gave him two movies Rajavinte Makhan, and T.P Balagopalan M.A>>>> Then the he created history in Mollywood. He transformed the entire acting trend in the industry( before the actors acted in a exaggerated fashion, just like in Dramas). He transformed the acting into natural( in the case of Kamal he never transformed the industry, before him Shivaji Ganeshan had done that job)in Mollywood. The romance of Mohanlal is most effective than Kamal. He done his key roles like Kireedam, Bharatham, Kamaladhalam, Dasharatham, Kalapani, Sphadikam, Thanmatra, Vanaprastham without the help of makeup (for different look). He done variety in the mindset of the character, not physically! If you have still doubt watch the movies of Kamal and Lal that I described above. Whenever Kamal has done majic, there is a makeup factor! But when ever Lal shines there is no makeup factor! He even not changes his body language,but the mindset and attitude of the character penetrate deep into our soul! The pain of that character leave a foot print our heart!

So, I am reaching the conclusion that the BEST actor India ever produced is One and Only Mohanlal!!!!!
